Harmonic Solutions specializes in trauma-related treatment drawing from various approaches including two evidence-based practice models for children and adolescents:
CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy) ages 0-6
CPP is a weekly, year long treatment that focuses on the relationship between caregiver and child in order to heal from individual and family traumas. The format of sessions typically oscillate between caregiver-only meetings and play therapy sessions with caregiver and child.
TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) ages 7-18+
TF-CBT is designed to help reduce the symptoms of trauma-related stress and grief by learning cognitive behavioral skills to control the stress response and overcome distorted beliefs about the person and their world. There is a specific sequence of sessions that culminates in creating a trauma narrative which helps a person integrate and organize their experience, and with a loved one's support, learn to adapt and move forward with their lives.
Self-pay and most major insurances accepted.
There are reasons why some folks elect to bypass their insurance and pay out-of-pocket, including not wanting their mental health diagnosis to become a part of their medical record.
